2007年度 (平成19年度) 購読についても昨年同様に10%以上の値上がりが見込まれるため、学内各講座・教室へのアンケート調査結果 (別掲) や(2005年 (平成17年) 1年間の利用調査結果、他館の所蔵状況、昨年開催したシンポジウム「図書館と電子ジャーナル」で寄せられた様々なご意見などをもとに、図書館委員会で検討を重ねた結果、コア雑誌も含め、電子ジャーナルが利用できるプリント版 (冊子体) の洋雑誌の購読を中止することになりました。
洋雑誌の価格上昇の傾向は明年以降も続くことが予想されます。電子資料やネットワークが普及したこの時期に、大学の教育、研究、診療のために求められる図書館の役割や、雑誌購読のあり方については今後も引き続き検討することが課題であります。また、電子ジャーナル利用環境はネットワークの状況に影響されるので、関連部署との連携を強めていきます。
